Healing is hard when you do it alone. The Blue Eyed Dragonfly is a place where you can go for comfort, support, any time of the day or night, after the loss of a child. We are here to encourage you because we have personally experienced devastating grief. We lost our blue-eyed boy, Tyler, to a car accident in 2013 just three days after his 15th birthday. There is no road map or instruction book to navigate this new journey of life we are on. Grief affects us all differently. We have found that friends and family are an important part of the healing process. However, there is a special bond that is made when you talk with another person who has similar experiences and truly knows how you feel. It is a relief when you realize you are not walking this grief journey alone. My faith in God has given me strength in the early days of my grief and continues to help me get through each day. Our hope is to make a difference in at least one person’s life and provide healing gifts to others like us. We have a variety of heartfelt gifts you can purchase for yourself, a friend or family member who is grieving the loss of a child, loved one or pet. The items are thoughtful, beautiful, edible and items to sooth your mind, body and soul. The gifts we have selected are ones that have helped us during our grief journey and healing process. We hope they bring you, your friends and family comfort and peace as well. Bill & Missy Hillmer do not have a degree in counseling or therapy of any kind. They are speaking from personal experience from the loss of their child. Always seek professional advice from a physician or qualified health care provider with questions relating to medical or mental health.
